Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear delegates, advisors, parents, and future diplomats:

I revel in the chance to invite you to the second ever Yale Model United Nations Dubai, taking place from November 29th to December 1st, 2024, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I am delighted to serve as Secretary-General for a conference that is dedicated to delegate experience in addition to educational value, excellence, and teamwork. Rest assured, myself and several other Yale students are working extremely hard to plan a conference that showcases the best that Yale has to offer.

YMUN Dubai promises to be an unforgettable experience for delegates and advisors both in and out of committee. At YMUN Dubai, hundreds of high school students will discuss pressing global issues manufactured in the same classrooms that have inspired presidents, prime ministers, and policymakers from around the world.

During the three days of YMUN Dubai, our main goal is to challenge you to think critically and engage deeply while having a favorable experience. In our various committees, you'll dive into historical and potential conflicts, explore how the world responds to humanitarian crises, and work together to find common ground on current global events. You'll draft and pass numerous resolutions addressing a wide range of global challenges, all while developing your leadership and teamwork skills that are so vital for the leaders of tomorrow.
